The Sound of Modern Ritual
We Don't Chase Trends. We Chase Timelessness.
The world moves faster every year. Music follows. Songs become shorter, algorithms decide what deserves to be heard, and attention has become the most valuable currency. We chose another direction. We create music that asks for nothing. No urgency. No distraction. No performance. Only atmosphere. Because not every sound is meant to be consumed. Some are meant to be inhabited.
Before Music Became Content, It Was Ceremony.
Before streaming, before stages, before headphones, there was rhythm. Around the fire, beneath open skies, through footsteps, drums and voices, sound carried memory, marked beginnings, celebrated life and brought people together. That memory still exists. Hidden beneath modern noise.
We Are Not Recreating The Past. We Are Imagining Its Future.
This is not folklore. This is not historical reconstruction. We respect the cultures that inspire us without attempting to imitate them. Instead, we ask a different question: If rituals were born today… what would they sound like? Every release is our answer.
Every Track Is A Place.
We don't compose songs. We build environments. A forgotten temple reclaimed by nature. A fire beneath unfamiliar stars. Rain touching volcanic stone. An imagined civilization waiting to be discovered. Every composition is an invitation to step inside.
One Room In Istanbul.
There is no label here and no team. Inhale Exhale Studio is one person in Istanbul — Elvan Özer — composition, sound design, mastering, artwork, the app itself. For years, I found myself returning to ancient Sanskrit mantras not only for their meaning, but for the way repetition transforms sound into atmosphere. That quiet fascination continues to shape the rhythm, pacing, and emotional language of every composition I create. Mythology and divination came from the same place, long before any of it became a track. That's the whole studio. When a drum lands slightly off-grid, that isn't a session player. That's the room.
How These Are Made.
Each piece is built in layers rather than performed in one take. Synthesized and generated material forms the raw body of a track, then gets pulled apart — pitched, stretched, filtered, re-timed — until it stops sounding like its source. Vocal layers are synthesized, not recordings of traditional practitioners, and they're treated as texture rather than performance. Over that goes something that isn't generated at all: field recordings made by hand. Sea, forest, rain, birds at particular hours. Which recording goes into which piece depends on what the mantra underneath it is about. Everything is mixed and mastered through a command-line chain rather than a studio desk — measured fades, loudness normalised to -14 LUFS, metadata written on export, the same way every time. The ceremony is imagined. The places are real.
Technology Is Our Instrument.
Synthesizers, percussion, cinematic textures and modern production tools exist for one reason: to disappear into a single immersive experience. AI is part of that toolset, and every release carries the AI label at the distributor — you can see it in the metadata, and I'd rather you heard it here first. What no tool decides: which myth a piece starts from, how it's arranged and edited, how it's mastered, and whether it gets released at all. If a sound breaks immersion, it doesn't belong — no matter what made it.
Ritual Still Exists.
Today, rituals take new forms. A sunrise yoga session. A meditation circle. Sound healing. Mindful movement. Creative work. An evening lit by candles. A journal opened before sleep. Our music belongs there — not as the center of the experience, but as part of it.
Created For Spaces That Hold Presence.
These soundscapes quietly travel through yoga studios, wellness spaces, retreats, boutique hotels, art galleries, creative studios and homes around the world. Every space has its own rhythm. We simply help reveal it.
Beyond The App.
Many of these soundscapes live inside the Ritual section of the Inhale Exhale App. Beyond the app, Inhale Exhale Studio continues composing, producing and releasing ritual-inspired albums across major streaming platforms. Each release expands the same universe — one atmosphere, one landscape, one modern ritual at a time.
Our Promise.
We will never create music simply because an algorithm demands it. We will never confuse loudness with depth. We will always choose atmosphere before popularity, emotion before metrics, and craftsmanship before speed. Because timeless work is never in a hurry.
This Is Inhale Exhale Studio.
A home for modern ritual music. A meeting place between ancient echoes and contemporary sound design. Not to recreate history. But to imagine how ancient ritual might sound if it were composed today. Crafted for rituals that have yet to be invented.
May these sounds travel with you.
May they shape your space.
May they become part of your own rituals.
